Licensed market, offshore reality

Crypto casinos in Sweden

Sweden licensed its market in 2019. Several of the operators we rank respond by refusing Swedish players entirely.

The licensing picture

Sweden has operated a licensed gambling market since 2019 under Spelinspektionen. Licensed operators pay tax on gross gaming revenue, participate in the national self exclusion register and follow Swedish marketing rules.

Operators serving Swedish players are expected to hold a Swedish licence. The casinos ranked here do not.

Which operators block Sweden

Duel restricts Sweden explicitly, enforced at the door. Several other operators restrict Sweden or apply limitations. Check the restricted territory list on each profile and in the operator's own terms, which is the authoritative version.

Using a site that restricts your country typically breaches the terms you accepted and can put a payout at risk, which is a practical problem quite separate from any legal one.

Spelpaus does not cover these sites

Sweden's national self exclusion register covers Swedish licensed operators only. It does not reach the casinos on this site.

If you have registered with Spelpaus, that registration has no effect here. Device level blocking tools such as Gamban and BetBlocker do cover offshore operators. Self exclusion options

Tax

Winnings from EU and EEA licensed operators are generally exempt for Swedish residents. Winnings from operators licensed outside that area are generally treated as taxable capital income, and losses are not deductible.

Every operator we rank is licensed outside the EEA. The tax page

Support

Stodlinjen provides free confidential support on 020 81 91 00, run by the Centre for Psychiatric Research.

Gambling carries a negative expected return. Over enough bets the house edge wins by design, and no ranking on this site changes that. If it has stopped being a choice, free confidential help exists: Peluuri in Finland, Stödlinjen in Sweden, BZgA in Germany, and GamCare internationally.
