Two bets, not one
Meme coins
Depositing a meme coin means taking a position on the asset and a position at the tables simultaneously. Only one of those has published odds.
Dogecoin has been supported across crypto gambling for years and several operators list Shiba Inu and other similar assets. The support is real. The reasoning behind using them usually is not.
The compounding problem
Deposit $2,000 of a volatile asset, play for three hours, and two independent things happen to your money. The games resolve, and the price moves. A meme coin can easily move ten percent in an afternoon, which is ten times the house edge on a 99% Original.
Put differently: the asset volatility can dominate the game outcome entirely. You can play a winning session and withdraw less than you deposited.
Why some players do it anyway
- They already hold the asset and do not want to convert
- They want the exposure and treat the casino balance as incidental
- Deposit or withdrawal promotions are occasionally attached to specific coins
The first is reasonable. The second is a decision worth making deliberately rather than by default.
The practical alternative
Convert to a stablecoin before depositing. Your balance then means what it says, and any position you want in the volatile asset you hold separately where you can manage it. Why stablecoins carry three quarters of the market
Network points
Dogecoin settles in minutes with low fees and is widely supported. Assets on Ethereum such as Shiba Inu carry Ethereum gas costs, which for a small deposit can be a meaningful percentage of the amount.
Gambling carries a negative expected return. Over enough bets the house edge wins by design, and no ranking on this site changes that. If it has stopped being a choice, free confidential help exists: Peluuri in Finland, Stödlinjen in Sweden, BZgA in Germany, and GamCare internationally.
